Hooray, our one and only miniature foal this year was born! On the evening of April 25 our Sissi (Sonoita Sizzling Mardi Gras) foaled a beautiful and strong bay colt. It took only a couple of minutes and unlike last year all went well this time. Both mother and son are doing great and we are super happy and proud! The sire is Mountain Meadow Marquis, owned by Veronika Vonková (CZ). And we already have a name for the pretty boy: “DelSastre Marquis’ Limited Edition”.
He is very beautiful and correct and seems to be as big moving as his sire and dam. He will probably make a perfect driving horse in the future. We are still guessing about his color – will he stay solid bay, turn gray like mommy or become a bay roan like daddy?? Only time will tell :-).
